Simple Fun

We took the kids to Coronado Beach over the Labor Day weekend. They had a blast boogie boarding, making sand castles and combing the beach for sand dollars. I have to admit I had just as much fun. It brought back memories from my childhood, I remember looking for sand dollars but ended up with only bits and pieces. So I got just as excited, when the kids found some beautiful whole sand dollars. Sometimes the simple things...are the most fun.

Mothers Day Inspiration

People have asked me where I get my inspiration. Well ... here are some drawings my youngest daughter made for me on Mothers Day 2009. I think kids have the cutest design sense. I usually pin up all my kid's drawings in my studio. They inspire me when I'm thinking of new designs and ideas. Happy Mothers Day to all.

SunDrop Clips Rady Children's Hospital Fundraiser

I had the great privilege to showcase my wool felt hair clips at a Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary fundraiser for their Bonita Unit. Part of the proceeds raised will go towards sponsoring kid focused events in support of Children's Hospital. I took the opportunity to introduced my upcoming line of SunDrop burp cloths and SunDrop baby blankets/picnic throws. More importantly, my daughter and I had a wonderful time. I think I found a business partner, she enjoyed herself and was a big help. She and I look forward to our next event and we will keep you posted.

Congratulations its a GIRL!!!

My nephew just had a precious baby girl. I decided to sew some cute little burp cloths for her. Check them out! I thought they came out nice. I wish I had thought of making these when I had my little ones. This is my first attempt at using a power tool I still have all my fingers :)
